Sasha, Nathan and Rory (S2) led a team of approximately twenty pupils (from S1, S2, S6 and P1) to shift more than three tonnes of compost to fill our four new planters using one wheelbarrow, some buckets and three spades, before planting over 500 bulbs 鈥� all within a double period (80 minutes!).
Very impressive work! Huge thanks to Dougie, Charlie and Team at Leith Men鈥檚 Shed for building the planters, and to Caledonian Horticulture for the compost.
In their Houses, pupils will now take ownership of the planters by adding signs and planning what they will plant in the spring.
